Public Health Data Collection and Reporting in Vermont

Health care professionals must report the following information to the Department of Health:

  • Cancer;1
  • Infectious diseases;2
  • Immunizations;3
  • Lead screening;4
  • Maternal and fetal deaths;5
  • Birth defects;6 and
  • Any unusual trends in prescription requests or pharmacy visits that may result from bioterrorism, infectious diseases, or a risk to public health.7
