Pharmacists furnishing Naloxone,
Permits pharmacists to prescribe naloxone in accordance with the Board of Pharmacy's protocol. Requires pharmacists to follow procedures regarding screening and patient education when prescribing naloxone. Requires pharmacists to maintain records of naloxone prescriptions for at least five years following the prescription date and to notify a patient’s primary care physician of the prescription if the individual that receives the prescription is the potential user of the medication.
