Discontinuance of practice -- Retirement -- Discontinuance of treatment
Requires licensed dentists to maintain patient records and to furnish the records to the patient or patient’s guardian upon request. Permits dentists to charge nominal fee for copies of records. Requires dentists to notify patients when discontinuing their practice and to make arrangements to transfer patient records to another dentist. Requires dentist to notify a patient when terminating their professional relationship with the patient.
