All proprietary information, including TennCare provider reimbursement information provided to the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance or the TennCare Bureau for the purpose of administering the TennCare program, must remain confidential and not subject to public disclosure. This section does not apply to disclosures made to the Medicaid fraud unit for law enforcement purposes or to the use of or access to records by federal or state agencies performing official functions.
