Women's cardiovascular screening and risk reduction pilot program - R.I. Gen. Laws Ann. § 23-86-1

The department of health must “develop a cardiovascular disease screening and lifestyle intervention pilot program…for low-income, underinsured and uninsured women between forty…and sixty-four…years of age, inclusive, at risk for heart disease, diabetes and stroke” based on the CDC’s WISEWOMEN program. The department must utilize measures to assess the impact and outcome of the program and provide the legislature with an annual program progress report.  Subject to appropriations, the program will run for three years before expiring on July 1, 2014.
