Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. 0460-01-.16 - Patient Rights for Dental Patients

Each patient of a licensed dentist will be afforded the following rights:

  •         To have their records kept confidential and private;
  •         To be provided information concerning their diagnosis, evaluation, treatment options and progress;
  •         To an opportunity to participate in decisions involving their health care;
  •         To refuse any diagnostic procedure or treatment and be advised of the consequences of that refusal; and
  •         To obtain a copy or summary of their personal dental record.
