Tenn. Code Ann. § 33-3-112 - Disclosure to service recipient of records kept and procedures for accessing records

Providers of services to individuals with mental health or intellectual and developmental disabilities must allow any service recipient over the age of 16 to review their records upon request unless such access is statutorily restricted or prohibited, or if a mental health professional has determined that providing such access poses a substantial risk of serious harm to the health or safety of the recipient or another person.
