The Department must maintain a cancer registry that records all tumorous and precancerous diseases. The registry information must be used for epidemiologic surveys. All medical records kept in the registry must remain confidential. The Director must maintain a list of reportable cancers and the manner in which the records will be maintained and disclosure for research purposes. The Department must use the registry to issue reports summarizing the information contained in the registry.
