The Michigan program is known as Michigan Medicaid or the Michigan Medical Assistance Program. It is administered by the Michigan Department of Community Health: Their website can be found here. As of June 1, 2018, there were 2,333,174 individuals enrolled in the Michigan Medicaid program.1

Michigan has a number of HIEs, some connected and others operating independently from one another. The largest HIE in the state is known as Great Lakes Health Connect: http://michiganhealthconnect.org/. Other HIE’s in the state include: Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services; Jackson Community Medical Record; Capital Area RHIO; Upper Peninsula Health Care Network; my1HIE; South East Michigan Health Information Exchange; Great Lakes Health Information Exchange; and Ingenium.
APCD (if applicable)
Michigan has established a voluntary APCD, with about 40% of its population participating. It is called the Michigan Mulit-Payer Claims Database and is run by the Michigan Data Collaborative. Their website can be accessed here.
