The Michigan Department of Community Health must establish standards for the reporting of trauma injuries, including the definition of a trauma injury, the forms to be used in reporting the injury, a timetable for reporting, an electronic record format, and protections for the confidentiality of individual records. The Department must use the submitted data to prepare quarterly and annual reports.
