Requires trained medical facility personnel to conduct newborn infant hearing screening in accordance with a protocol approved by the hearing screening state program coordinator. Identifies the elements that this protocol must address (e.g., type of screening equipment, reporting results to the Department of Health and Environment and the infant’s parents and primary care provider, etc.).
