Idaho Admin. Code r. 16.03.09.574, Children’s Habilitation Intervention Services: Procedural Requirements

Requires providers of children’s habilitation intervention services to obtain prior authorization from the Department of Health and Welfare. Permits providers, after submitting the prior authorization request, to deliver such services for a maximum of 24 hours over 30 days while awaiting the Department’s determination. Specifies the information that providers must include in the initial prior authorization request (e.g., physician recommendations, clinical treatment plan, implementation plan, etc.) and ongoing prior authorization requests (e.g., progress assessments, participant objectives, requested hours and services, etc.). Requires providers to establish an implementation plan and specifies the information that must be included in this plan (e.g., objectives, treatment modalities, etc.). Requires providers to maintain records for each participant and permits the Department to recoup payments for services that are not documented in the records.
