Requires clinical laboratories to have the space, supplies, and equipment necessary to perform accurate, safe, and precise lab services. Requires laboratories to maintain test result records for at least two years following the test date. Requires lab records to include the identity of the person who performed the lab test and, when referring specimens to a different laboratory, the name of that laboratory and information regarding the referred specimen.
