“Annual reports under the insurance law”

Each discount medical plan organization must file an annual report with the Office of Insurance Regulation, which must include a variety of information such as audited financial statements. A discount medical plan organization that fails to file an annual report within the time required forfeits $500 for each day for the first 10 days and $1,000 for each day after the first 10 days the report is not filed. The Office of Insurance Regulation may notify the discount medical plan organization that it may not enroll new members or do business in Florida until the report is filed. The Office of Insurance Regulation may not collect more than $50,000 for each report.
