“Peer review; records; immunity; confidentiality under the regulation of professions and occupations law”

Any member of a peer review organization or committee must report to the Department of Health the name of any dentist who he believes has violated the law. The peer review committee member is immune from any liability for reporting this information.

The records of peer review organizations or committees may not be subject to discovery or introduced into evidence in a disciplinary proceeding.

Peer review information obtained by the Department of Health is confidential.
