“Provider hospitals; practice parameters; peer review board under the public health law”

A provider hospital, which is a hospital that handles 30 or more births a year, must establish a peer review board consisting of obstetric physicians to review deliveries by caesarean section. The results of the review must be shared with the attending physician. These reviews and the resultant reports are considered a part of the hospital’s quality assurance monitoring and peer review process.
