Connecticut establishes a “Commission on the Standardized Collection of Evidence in Sexual Assault Investigations.” The Commission must recommend a protocol for providing health care to victims of sexual assault and design a “sexual assault evidence collection kit.”  Health care facilities must, after obtaining the patient’s consent, follow the protocol when collecting sexual assault evidence.
