“Medical control”
Arizona requires the director of the statewide medical services and trauma system the emergency medical services council, and the medical direction commission to recommend quality standards and criteria to the director of the department of health services. These standards and criteria should address issues such as the training and certification of emergency medical care technicians, monitoring and evaluating performance, quality assurance processes—including standards for maintaining the confidentiality of quality assurance information—, and non-physician prehospital treatment.
