Federal and State Program Integrity in Vermont

An individual may not provide false information to receive Medicaid or Healthy Vermonters benefits.1 The Department of Mental Health and the Department for Children and Families may conduct audits to review utilization of Medicaid services and prevent fraud.2 The Department of Mental Health and the Department for Children and Families must impose sanctions against a provider for Medicaid fraud.3
