Wis. Stat. Ann. § 252.14 - Discrimination related to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome

This law prohibits health care providers, peace officer, fire fighter or other such state officers to discriminate against a person with HIV/AIDS solely because the individual has been infected with HIV/AIDS. Refusal to treat/provide service or treating/providing service to a patient with HIV/AIDS at a lower standard is liable to the patient for damages. A health care provider who cannot treat the patient because the treatments exceeds the scope of provider’s certification must develop and follow procedures to make sure the patient continues to receive care.
