“Disciplinary action to be reported to the board under the executive law”
Any hospital, clinic, community mental health center or other health care institution must report to the appropriate licensing board any disciplinary action taken against a health care professional. The report must be made within 10 days of the date of the disciplinary action.
Within 30 days of any judgment or settlement involving a medical malpractice claim, an insurer of the health professional must report the information to the appropriate licensing board.
