Vaccine Administration by Pharmacists, 
 
Permits licensed pharmacists that comply with training and continuing education requirements to administer vaccines in accordance with protocols based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations. Limits the administration of vaccines to patients aged six or older to flu vaccines and other vaccines necessary because of a public health emergency. Permits authorized pharmacists to administer vaccines to adults if they are listed on the ACIP-approved vaccination schedule or the CDC recommends the vaccination for international travel. Permits authorized pharmacists to administer vaccines prescribed to individual patients; requires pharmacists to report complications to the prescribing provider within 24 hours. Requires pharmacists to look at information from the statewide immunization registry or health information network prior to administering a vaccine and to report the vaccine administration to the registry or network and, if possible, the patient’s primary care provider within 30 days. Provides an exception to these reporting requirements for flu vaccines to patients aged six or older and those administered because of a public health emergency.
