Authorized Disclosure of Confidential Information in judicial or administrative Proceeding

Confidential information may be disclosed in a proceeding instituted by the patient against a professional, in a license revocation proceeding, a proceeding involving abuse or neglect, “any criminal proceeding, as otherwise provided by law,” and in a proceeding to collect on a claim for services rendered to the patient. Further, information may be disclosed pursuant to a court order or subpoena.
