Hospitals that receive state assistance must submit annual cost data to the Commissioner of Social Services. The Commissioner may suspend payments to hospitals that submit false or misleading data. Persons that knowingly make a false or misleading statement or knowingly submit false or misleading cost data will be guilty of a class D felony.
