Standards of Practice -- office practices
Establishes standards of practice for licensed Iowa physicians. Requires physicians to maintain the confidentiality of patient information and to maintain medical records for at least seven years after they last provided service to a patient. Requires physicians to transfer medical records to a patient or another physician upon the patient’s request.
