Requirements for Gender-specific Questions on Grant Applications – N.Y. Pub. Health Law § 803

Health research grant applications must contain gender-specific questions so that the department of health can assess whether the proposed study will affect the genders equally or disparately. The department of health will use this information to ensure that research funded by the department meets the health needs of women. The department of health must comply with federal regulations when awarding grant money.
