Reports of spontaneous fetal death-N.M. Stat. Ann. § 24-14-22

All spontaneous fetal deaths occurring after the fetus reached the gestational age of 20 weeks must be reported to the state registrar within 10 days. If a spontaneous fetal death occurs in an institution, the person in charge of the institution must inform the patient of the option of a report of spontaneous fetal death and a still birth certificate. A medical investigation is required when the spontaneous fetal death occurs outside of medical attendance or if required by law. The name of the woman who delivered the fetus must be included in the report, and at her request, the father or second parent of the fetus must also be included in the report. The woman who delivered the fetus may request a copy of the report from the state registrar.
