The Connecticut Office of Health Care Access may employ any of the following strategies to fulfill its duties under the law:
- Collecting patient level outpatient data from health care facilities;
- Establishing a cooperative data collection effort across the public and private sectors.
The Office must authorize and oversee the data collection efforts, oversee health system planning efforts, monitor health care costs, and oversee and implement health care reform.
