The names of the affected adults in abuse reports are confidential and not accessible for public inspection.  The Department of Human Services will make this information and any investigative report available to any law enforcement agency, public agency that licenses or certifies facilities or the persons practicing therein, and any public agency providing protective services for the adult, if appropriate.  The department will also make this information and any investigative report available to any private agency providing protective services for the adult and to the system designed to protect and advocate for the rights of individuals.  When this information is made available to a private agency, the confidentiality requirements apply to that agency.
