N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 18 § 354.2 - Use of Case Records of Applicant/Recipient of Public Assistance

This regulation states that the case record should present a clear account of the district’s provision of assistance and the services provided to other community programs.  The regulation restricts the use of the evidence in case records to the following purposes: determining eligibility for assistance, documenting compliance with requirements, validating supervisory review and written approval of case action, insuring consistency of service, and evaluating the situation with respect to appeals or reapplication.
