N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 10 § 50-4.3 - Intra-Agency (DoH) Access to Personal Health-Related Information

This regulation allows access to personal health-related information only to those employees of the Department of Health who need access as part of their official duties.  The regulation further requires that supervisors authorize employees for access only after the employees have been trained with respect to the responsibilities that come with access.  The regulation allows agents of the Department of Health to access specific health-related information only when access is reasonably necessary to perform the specific activities for which they have been designated as agents.
