Requires pregnant persons to give their full, informed written consent prior to having an abortion. Specifies the information that providers must give the person as part of the informed consent process (e.g., physician credentialing information, gestational age of fetus, etc.). Requires providers to give the pregnant person an opportunity to hear the heartbeat of the fetus. Requires providers to maintain documentation of the pregnant person’s acceptance or refusal to hear the heartbeat for at least ten years.
