Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-28,103, duty to notify attending physician
Authorizes persons over the age of 18 to execute a declaration that life-sustaining treatment be withheld or withdrawn if their condition is terminal. Prohibits such declaration from taking effect for the duration of a person’s pregnancy. Requires persons to tell their attending physician that they have executed a declaration and requires physicians to place a copy of the declaration in the patient’s medical record.
