Requires Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF) to create policies for resident health care and specifies what these policies must address (e.g., creation of a health checklist that must be completed at admission, provision of follow-up health care, infection control measures, etc.). Requires PRTFs to maintain health records for each resident and specifies the information that must be documented in these records (e.g., prescription information, provision of health services, etc.).
