Ind. Code Ann. § 16-41-8-2 - Voluntary contact notification program information – communicable diseases

This law prohibits the use of identifying information given to a health officer through the voluntary contact notification program as evidence in a court proceeding.  The law allows the court to release information or medical records to an individual or his/her representative if the individual is a party in a pending action involving restriction of individual’s action in violation of the laws pertaining to management of communicable diseases.
