Ind. Code Ann.§ 16-36-1.5-7 - Rebuttable presumption of informed consent for mental health services

This law creates a presumption that a consent is an informed consent if the patient’s written consent is signed by the patient/patient’s authorized representative, witnessed by an adult, and explained orally or in writing to the patient or patient’s authorized representative before a treatment/procedure/examination.  This presumption can be challenged with relevant evidence.
