“Rebates prohibited; penalties under the regulation of professions and occupations law”
Clinical laboratories are prohibited from paying or receiving any commission, bonus, kickback, or rebate or engage in any split-fee arrangement for patient referrals. The Agency for Health Care Administration may impose a fine of $5,000 for each violation of this statute and deny a license if there is a pattern of violations.
