“Disciplinary action; action by the board under the Florida Pharmacy Act” 

Pharmacists may be denied a license or face disciplinary sanctions for a variety of grounds including:

  • Being unfit to practice pharmacy because of illness or substance use;
  • Having been disciplined by a regulatory agency in another state;
  • Improperly dispensing prescription drugs, including any controlled substance;
  • Making a false report or failing to file a report required by federal or state law;
  • Failing to report to the Department of Health any health care professional for violating the law; and
  • Using or releasing a patient’s records in a manner that violates the law.
