Florida Statutes § 463.012

“Prescriptions; filing; release; duplications under the Optometry Practice Act”

A licensed optometrist must retain any prescription she or he writes for a period of at least 2 years. The optometrist must make available to the patient or the patient’s agent any eyeglass prescription determined for that patient.
