“Review of trauma registry data; report to central registry; confidentiality and limited release under the public health law”

Each trauma center and acute care hospital must report to the Department of Health trauma registry data to enable the department to monitor patient outcomes. Trauma registry data are confidential and may not be disclosed to the public. The Department of Health may use or release the data for research purposes.

Each trauma center, pediatric trauma center, and acute care hospital must report to the Department of Health’s brain and spinal cord injury central registry any person who has a brain or spinal cord injury.
