“Medical records of deceased nurse under the Department of Health regulations”
Each registered nurse, certified nurse specialist, or advanced registered nurse practitioner’s medical records must be maintained for 2 years after his or her death. The registered nurse, certified nurse specialist, or advanced registered nurse practitioner’s executor, personal representative or survivor must publish a notice in a newspaper to notify patients that the nurse’s medical records are available to the patients from a specific person at a certain location.
