“Acceptance of patients or clients under the Agency for Health Care Administration regulations”
Home health agencies must be able to communicate in a patient’s language, either through a staff person, interpreter that speaks the same language, or technology that translates so that services can be provided.
At the start of services, a home health agency must establish a written agreement between the agency and the patient. The written agreement must articulate patients’ rights, including a patient’s right to be informed and involved in his or her care and right to draft a do not resuscitate order.
