Florida Administrative Code § 64B8-8.001

“Disciplinary guidelines under the Department of Health regulations”

The Board of Medicine may fine or suspend, deny, place on probation, or revoke a physician’s license for the following:

  • Engaged in a crime involving healthcare fraud;
  • Failing to comply with obligation regarding ownership and control of medical records, patient records, report or copies of records to be furnished;
  • Failed to maintain confidentiality of communication between a patient and a psychiatrist;
  • Failing to report final disposition of professional liability claims and actions;
  • Engaging in sexual misconduct with a patient; and
  • Inability to practice medicine with skill.
