Del. Code Ann. tit. 16, § 223 - Autism surveillance and registry program

The Department of Health and Social Services must establish the autism surveillance and registry program, which is an up-to-date registry that documents every diagnosis or treatment of autism in any child in Delaware. Physicians, surgeons, dentists, podiatrists, other health care providers, hospitals, and other health care facilities must report to the registry within 30 days of the initial diagnosis of autism. The information contained in the autism surveillance and registry program must be used  to identify risk factors for autism; to investigate the causes and prevalence of autism; to develop preventive strategies to decrease occurrences of autism; to analyze incidences, prevalence and trends of autism through epidemiological studies; or to investigate the morbidity and mortality rates resulting from autism.
