The Commissioner of Social Services must, after consulting with the Commissioner of Public Health, take any actions necessary to obtain the health information technology planning funds and electronic health record meaningful use incentive payments made available in the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act. The Commissioner must distribute any received incentive funds to hospitals and eligible professionals.
