Admissions and discharge.
Grants birth center admitting privileges to members of the clinical staff. Requires birth centers to evaluate the risk status of pregnant persons and limits admission to those who are determined to be at low risk. Requires birth centers to establish a discharge plan for each client that address follow up visits and any necessary referrals. Requires birth centers to provide a newborn’s records to the newborn’s pediatrician upon request.
