Administration and Management of Behavioral Health Services – N.Y. Soc. Serv. Law § 365-m

Regional entities will approve and coordinate behavioral health services for medical assistance beneficiaries that are not enrolled in managed care as well as approve and coordinate any behavioral health services not provided by the managed care program for managed care enrollees. These regional entities must “promot[e] appropriate care” and “safeguard against unnecessary utilization of such care and services.”
