“Nursing facility licensing under the Agency of Human Services regulations”
A nursing facility must report the following to the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent living:
- Any fire that occurs in the home;
- Any untimely death that occurs as a results of an untoward event such as an accident that results in hospitalization, equipment failure, use of restraint, etc.;
- Any unexplained absence of a resident;
- Any break down of the nursing home’s facility that has the potential for harm to residents such as loss of water, power, heat or telephone communications.
