Nebraska

Name of Medicaid Program(s) and number of people participating

The Nebraska program is known as Nebraska Medicaid, Nebraska Medical Assistance Program or Nebraska Health Connection.  It is administered by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Their website can be found here.  As of June 1, 2018, there were 245,000 individuals enrolled in the Nebraska Medicaid program.1

Nebraska does not have an HIE, but the state has established the Nebraska Health Information Initiative to lead the effort in creating one: http://nehii.org/. Over the next few years, the HIE will be rolled out across the state. 

APCD (if applicable) 

Nebraska has shown strong interest in creating an APCD.  A state law was enacted to evaluate the ability to create an APCD.
