Resource Use (Cost/Utilization) Measurement and Reporting in Maine

Maine law requires all health facilities to file clinical data, including uniform hospital discharge data for each patient and other data as required by the Maine Health Data Organization.  All health facilities must also file medical record abstract data as required by the Organization.1  State law also requires the Organization to create a publicly accessible website that details payment information to health care facilities and providers for health care services rendered to patients in Maine.2
